Born in London, Shola's affixation with electronic music began in the early 90's. The emergence of Hardcore, Rave & Jungle music within the UK helped foster an already growing underground dance scene. It was this scene that captured Shola's attention! Artists such as The Prodigy, Heller & Farley, Carl Cox, LTG Bukem and Ray Keith were just some of the producers that fuelled his early mixtape collection.

Buying his first turntables in 98, Shola's vinyl collection grew and his musical tastes diversified as the Electronic Dance Music scene grew. Genres such as House, Trance & Breakbeat music began to fill his record box. His emergence into the DJ scene began in '98 with the start of University in Leicester. For over three years Shola helped to promote & DJ at dance events in and around the Midlands - such as Slinky, Bubblelove, Hotdog & Flamin Collosus. By that time period his musical tastes had advanced to Tribal & Progressive House and Progressive/Uplifting Trance.

Moving to live in Australia for two years during the mid noughties brought another change in his turntableism: A careful balance of underground yet upfront tunes laced with a mix of timeless classics to ensure a twist of nostalgia! Down under, Shola played at hotspots up and down the East Coast such as Chinese Laundry (Sydney), Mama Africa & Magnums (Airlie Beach) and Monastery (Brisbane). Since returning to London in 2009, Shola has continued to build upon his previous experience behind the decks whilst seamlessly adjusting to the technological changes that have changed DJ'ing. Shola's headlining set at LiquidCrystalSounds in 2011, one of Finlands top electronic music nights, was a serious mark of what to expect from him for the coming year.

Now 32 yrs old, Shola's roots have firmly settled within the House and Progressive genres. The emphasis of his live sets concentrate on driving, rolling basslines, deep breakdowns and techy atmospheric synths and strings. A DJ whose sets are never tiresome, and enriched with emotion. Expect to hear much more from this Londoner as he clearly becomes a key figure in the 2011-2012 electronic music scene!
