Born in Santa Barbara, CA, sAro (Joshua A. Jones) has been writing and performing music as a solo musician and DJ for 7+ years. Recently trying his hand at electronic music production, sAro expects to not be a typical listen. With influences spanning all music styles and genre, expect to hear a variety of textures, timbres and feelings.
sAro started off in music in high school picking up guitar and singing and it's been a long time since that mold was broken. With an educational background in music theory, he intends his music to be thoughtful, emotional and somewhere outside the box of the main steam media's attention.
Admittedly, it was the more dark and experimental side of drum and bass that pulled his attention to electronic music. After settling in to his local underground scene, he came to find his calling as a DJ in the realm of down-tempo and trip-hop styles. Never liking to stick to one theme for long, expect to hear many and various genres of music out of this up and coming artist.

Great li'l build there. Well done.
lo....hahahha. That's funny stuff right there. Whitney is making a come back.
@sk1e: Ya, it's got a bit of DnB flavor to it, but it's too slow to mix w/ DnB. Nice tune. Much enjoyed.
Awesome. Thanks for posting a mix of real IDM on the IDM group. We love you - llooll!!

I feel like some popcorn now for some reason.
It sounds so gangster. Love this tune. Kudos to you!!
Isn't it customary to have a cow bell session after that three count? lol. Funky tune.
Ya, and maybe add some filtering to that violin line. It gets a bit static.
This must be you, Brian...lol. Pls disregard if not. Fun tune!!
Kindof reminds me of some Funky Porccini. Fun and odd but well placed in its oddness. I like it.
Really liking the beat. Very stony in its own way. Can't say i'm thrilled w/ the Bass but it sounds like a place holder really. Give it some less square wave sound with some filters and make it hit like bricks. I can also imagine some sort of arpegiated lead - something that might sound like a harp or dulcimer but with an electronic feed to it. Hope that helps. Thanks for posting.
Well, you don't get tempo changes like that often in this style of music, so I applaud that effort for sure. Break the mold. But then again it slows back down and would be painful to mix.
Mmm, sexy sounds. Nice toon!!
Great listen, thanks
Amazing piece. I'd love to make a dnb or triphop mix if you want to provide me the parts. Let me know. Much enjoyed. You have a great voice for music.
Love that blend of dnb and trip hop. Sounds nice. Smooth and mellow.
Diggin' this a lot.
lol
sudden, but effective i suppose. You might could throw another phrase in. Hell, I want the song to be longer personally.
Sweet low end; very warm. Nice Drop.
@Lazy Driftah: I'd agree on adding something like a mid-high freq lead of some sort. You could also introduce those cymbals that come in in the next phrase.
What you say?
Give use a breakdown. Rockin' track. Make it a bit longer. Two phrases of spacey metal guitar a la "Planet Caravan". lol
REally digging this tune. You guys do great work. Thanks for posting.
@KFSFK: Bagpipe practice flute...? Whoa. Where did you get the bag pipe pack? It's frikkin' fantastic. Through in some accordion and you have some bangin' arse electronic music...lol.
@craigsya: Just 4/4 actually
I love droppin' this tune on a party. Awesome production. Really liking the live set. Made my day twice. Macc, you might be my favorite dnb producer out there today. Thanks for keepin' it on.
@dvorkru: Thanks for all of your comments
The bass line is a bit quiet. This is a great start though. Bring up that bass and build some other elements around the bass, rhythm and you should be golden. The beat is classic.
