Rusty Meeks has never lived inside the confines of a single genre of electronic music. On any given night, you may find Rusty Meeks rinsing out nightclubs, house parties, and lounges across Western Canada. Come summer you will find him in his real element, melting crowds at music festivals such as Motion Notion, Freezer Burn, Fozzy Fest, and Calgary Electronic Music Festival. Globally, Rusty Meeks has graced the decks at nightclubs and beach raves in Malaysia, Ecuador, and the US.

Rusty Meeks' true talent lies in his production skills, with top 100 hits on Beatport's Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and Glitch Hop charts, and airplay on BBC radio 1, and in other DJ's sets at festivals like Shambhala and Burning Man.

Recently he began producing under a new alias "Tyrek", focussing on a bassier tech house sound. His first Tyrek release climbed the Minimal charts and peaked at #2 in September 2012. It also hit #20 on the Tech House charts.

Rusty Meeks is also the co-founder of Substation Recordings, an underground label focused on drum and bass, dubstep, and glitch hop.
