Ruffride's musical journey started back in 1998, DJing in small barns, muddy fields and house parties, and it wasn't until 2004 that he started to break through into the circuit, making regular appearances in one of the UK's most prominent 'up & coming' rooms: New Nation hosted by Slammin' Vinyls mighty One Nation outfit. After taking over the reigns of New Nation in 2004, he started tour nights, DJing all over the place; from London to Edinburgh to Bournemouth and beyond, in some of the most prodigious venues nationwide. He went on to do a 4 year stint as resident for One Nation which certainly cemented himself as a name to watch in the Drum & Bass scene.

Ruffride started producing in 2005, and after a few years of perfecting his own trade; he teamed up with Vital Elements (one half of the legendary Serial Killaz) in 2008 to create a solid studio partnership, with tracks having gained support from ex-Radio 1 DJ Grooverider & Crissy Criss of Radio 1extra fame. The duo's first full length collaborative LP was pressed and released in 2010 on Vital Element's V2E imprint.

In late 2011, Ruffride was approached by the UK's most successful and longest running Jungle and D&B radio station Kool London about presenting an alternate Saturday night radio show, educating the general populous and playing exclusive dubs week in week out.

The year 2012 has seen a plethora of releases come from the industrious partnership with Vital Elements, with EP's having been released on established labels such as Audio Warfare, Ramajam Recordings and Drum Clone Recordings already this year, and further tracks forthcoming over the next 12 months and beyond; they're seemingly never out of the studio.
