Dj NYU might not be from a big city but the always-grinding entrepreneur has made a buzz for himself in the underground Dj scene. With at least 10 years experience under his belt he has accomplished a lot. From performing at MTV Spring Break in Panama City Beach to being a permanent resident at Club La Vela and Aqua Lounge in Birmingham, AL. Currently he does a mix show every week for two different radio stations in his local area, 105.9 and 107.9. All while maintaining a steady output of acclaimed remixes and mixtapes. He has played along side Dj icons such as the Crystal Method, Bad Boy Bill, Star Killers, Dj Vice, Dj Benzi, Dj Monk, Dj Icey, Dj Baby Anne, Dj Mike B and Dj Doc Roc. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to mention that he has opened up for artist like Flo Rida, LMFAO, Dj Khaled, J-Dash, Roscoe Dash, Travis Porter, YC, Yung Joc, Mims, Sean Kingston, Ying Yang Twins, Three Six Mafia, Dev, Mike Posner and many more.
In the summer of 2009, nyu started his own label “nyu entertainment”. Which consists of him working with local Dj’s and local up and coming artist. Spring of 2010 he announced the start of his anticipated “Motivated Mixtape” series. A series that will provide club-rocking music for many seasons to come. With 2012 here there is only great things to continue for this rising star. Defined as Mr. does it himself and the hardest working Dj in the area NYU keeps the masses guessing on what his next project will be.
When you get the chance to witness Dj NYU perform you will realize he is no stranger to a packed dance floor. On any given night you can hear him play Top 40, hip-hop, Dance, House, Mash Ups, Electro, Breaks, Dubstep, Rock, Reggae and even some Old School. His flawless mixing and ground breaking track selection is notoriously known through out the South East. With impeccable skills and the knowledge to know how to read a crowd this dj’s performance is one not to be missed.
