Momentus aka Jordan Lee is a DJ hailing from the city of Auckland, New Zealand. In a city known for breeding a majority of the national talent, Jordan 'Momentus' Lee has undoubtedly imprinted himself into the New Zealand nightlife and entertainment industry. In a genre that is saturated in stereotypes and controversies, Momentus seeks to breathe a fresh new life into the local urban scene.

The year 2010 saw Momentus make an official entry into respective club nights in Auckland as well as popular U18 dance events such as Contrast & Suburban Heat.

Fast forward to the year 2012 and Momentus has achieved more in 2 years pertinent to sheer hard work, focus and self development. His list of achievements include holding residencies at key club nights at respective venues such as Sanctuary, Pyramid, Hitch Bar, Be, Primo, Nova, Bacio and more recently Macs Brewbar & The Hangar Bar among others. As well as headlining major events including Neon Break Festival 2011 & 2012, Blackout 2011 & 2012 Tour of New Zealand as well as supporting many prominent international acts touring in Auckland.

2012 also marked the year for inter city shows with headline performances to packed night clubs in Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Gisborne & Rotorua.

Creator of the very successful and largely downloaded "Momentus Mix Show", it is a multi genre showcase that leaves one more to desire featuring an array of scratching and mixing techniques while switching tempo and style gracefully.

Although Momentus has claimed his stake in the New Zealand urban scene as a talented Hip Hop & Rnb DJ, his appreciation for all things music is made evident in the multi genre selection suited best toward the demands of a variety of events, club nights, private shows as well as the evolving music industry. He can be seen to constantly push the boundaries between genres to create an eclectic musical mix to suit all tastes.

Aside from the hectic demands of late night shows, recording mixes, acquiring the latest tracks, catching up on the latest industry news and a personal life to juggle against. Momentus still finds time to publish a weekly article “Momentus Mondays” to reach out to his ever growing list of followers. The weekly article can be found on the popular website staylocal.co.nz and features a brief run down on upcoming shows, what his affiliates have coming up as well as the best things to do along with a selection of the latest ‘tipped to be big’ releases.

Spearheaded by the team at Figure8 Promotions, Momentus is a true crowd pleaser and nothing defines it better than his own statement "if the track suits my style and it gets the people singing, dancing, smiling then I'm down to drop it".
