Originally broadcast 15th June 1997, this version was the repeat aired again on 31st december 1997 after winning essential mix of the year.

by far the greatest ever essential mix of all time. This mix single handidly inspired me to pursue and dig deep into the Northern Soul archives, when I was still like 13 and knew nothing about it!

will somebody PLEASE tell me who that version of "light my fire" is by? The penultimate track. I've been trying to find it by looking for John Schroeder, but I really don't think it was by him. Maybe he produced it and it's by someone else or something, but google is stumped, and so am I. And I can't take listening to any more cheesy versions.
