Marshall is considered to be a visionary in the Dance Music scene. His DJ sets boast a signature “Retro-Chic”sound. “RETRO” Is a concept derived from four decades of modern music “CHIC” describes the sexy energy that blends between musical genres and unites the masses.
Born into a musical family, Marshall began his love for music in Washington, DC. His dad, Pete Marshall, who enjoyed success as an RCA recording artist and his late godfather, Van McCoy, famed Composer of “Do the Hustle,” were his first influences. It is no surprise that his love for music would propel him into a musical career.
In 2001, Marshall began what’s currently known as a musical atmosphere like no other in South Beach, Miami. Under the Marshall moniker, he began spreading his sound across Miami with a long-standing residencies at the Delano Hotel and Opium Garden. With guest spots at venues such as Prive, Opium Garden, Suite, Set, The Setai and Nikki Beach Jetsetters from all over began to take notice.
Jet-Set venues from Miami to New York, Milano to Sardegna and London to Dubai have all experienced the “Retro-Chic” sounds of Marshall. One of his greatest accolades was headlining for Giorgio Armani’s RED One Night Only campaign in London ‘07.
In 2009. Marshall joined as music director to collaborate in “Okku” a new, Ultra-lounge concept in modern Japanese Cuisine originating in the hip city of Dubai, where East meets West). To date, OKKU has been voted number one night-life destination in the UAE and Middle East.
As a producer Marshall’s release, a smashing Original Dance mix of “Bint El Shalabiya” an Arabic Classic is in rotation on RADIO 1 Dubai fusion show. This mix, was also signed to Sony Records for I-Tunes release.
