About
DJ LIL' JOHN is a staple in the Chicago music industry. For more than three decades, he's made his presence felt. From college radio mixshows in the 80's, to the nightclub scene in the 90's, to commercial urban radio in the millenium, the world still dances to his beat.
One could say that 1992 was DJ Lil' John's breakout year: his first major label remix with The Cover Girls "If U Want My Love" (Epic Records); the start of a 10 year residency at the infamous RED DOG Nightclub; and the formation of a record label with Jeff Craven & Greg Dickerson. The following year, after about three EPs and a couple of name changes to the label, LARGE MUSIC was formed, along with the debut of John's vocal classic "I'm Leavin' You" feat. singer/saxophonist Ulysses. With some major help from the legendary Louie Vega, this song was heard around the world!
Where is DJ Lil' John today, you ask? He's back in the lab (studio) working on another batch of magical music, LOL! Catch him in the mix live on the internet, Mondays on GottaHaveHouseRadio.com, and Tuesdays on PressureRadio.com. You can also catch him at 2012's Winter Music Conference, tearing up the decks every night as he did in March 2011.
