Book DJ K-Sly: info@djksly.com

Kathy Taylor, stage name, K-Sly, is one of the most highly regarded, leading DJs. She is the first in her class; the first renowned Asian female, in the world, to DJ and host her own radio show. She has cemented a footprint in the entertainment industry, not only as a woman, personality, and DJ, but also as a voice for the people.

Kathy grew up eating, sleeping, and breathing music. Growing up playing instruments and deejaying, led her to earn mass popularity with her signature voice and mixing style.

She is currently on MNET America's BPM as the corresponding host, covering artist interviews, concert and event coverage. BPM's second season premiered on April 18, 2012. Kathy is the resident DJ on Monday nights at Rolling Stone Hollywood and Saturday nights at Belasco LA.

On TV, she survived six out of seven rounds and was the only female standing during Smirnoff’s “Master of the Mix” on BET. The first nationally televised DJ competition was judged by legendary DJ, Kid Capri, producer, Vikter Duplaix, model, Amber Rose, and hosted by music producer, Just Blaze.

Based in Los Angeles, Kathy spins throughout Hollywood, the U.S. and overseas. Fans and promoters know her as the shinobi who delivers in any situation, any demographic, at any given time. She puts the smackdown on any doubters during events, with her lethal MC and DJ combination.

The leaders in sound, Monster Products, sponsor Kathy. Her rockstar hours require her to be more health conscious which led her to join forces with Drinkwel nutrition. She is also a proud member of the Violator Allstar DJs.

Vastly recognized in Los Angeles during her time at 100.3 The Beat (Radio One), Kathy established herself as one of the top DJs and on-air personalities in the U.S.

Prior to her return to Los Angeles, Kathy was Atlanta's sweetheart on Hot 107.9 (Radio One) with co-host, at the time, actor/rapper, Ludacris.

Being in the spotlight has given Kathy the opportunity to interview some of the most influential entertainers of yesterday and today. The list includes Jay-Z, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, 50 Cent, the late Rick James, and actors, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett, Tommy Lee Jones, Mike Meyers, Peter Facinelli, to name a few.

Additionally, she was the co-host and DJ for the internationally syndicated show, "Dance 360." Following that, she became the announcer and DJ for Steve Harvey's Big Time while holding her position on The Beat.

Those were just a few of her projects, since being featured in numerous programs on MTV and BET, including cameo appearances in music videos. She was a guest on Style Network's Split Ends and featured on a documentary for Oprah's Oxygen Channel, which included singer, Gladys Knight.

Gayle King presented her with a prestigious national Gracie Allen Award for Women in TV & Radio Broadcasting. She has consistently been spotlighted in print and web publications, such as Entertainment Weekly, XXL, Complex, AllHipHop, Ballerstatus and Audrey Magazine.

Kathy's work has influenced many DJs that have followed. She has an uncanny psychological insight and continues to exert a particular fascination for musicians and music lovers today.

Born as Kathy Taylor, in Seoul, Korea to a Korean mother and Caucasian father in the Army, is the eldest of four children. She is a Los Angeles native with an Army child upbringing, which brought her to attend Kansas State University where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. During that time, she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a historical, socially conscious organization.
