Dedicated, Passionate and Persistent,
These are just a few words of which describe Kosto’s loving sense to the art of DJing.
Born and raised in Australia, George Maurice Kostopoulos, better known as DJ-Kosto, begun his journey in 2009 aged thirteen and has established his presence in the DJ community, pursuing his ideological dream in becoming a DJ from a very young age in the Australian music scene and already has far exceeded more than what the boy from a young age could have imagined becoming.
With his love affair for the house music genre from such a young age lead to the broadening of George’s horizons into the Electro and Dutch genres due to his European background and embracing the sounds from his influences such as Tiësto, Laidback Luke and Hardwell.
Blasting your speakers with the latest beats, stirring things up with his fusion house styles, unlimited energy, variety of music, added personal touch, brightly and distinctive results in both stunning live sets.
In December 2012, Kosto launched his very own podcast show, Kosto Sessions Podcast, which is broadcasted to over 40 countries on iTunes.
Initiating his own brand to work under in 2010, GMK Entertainment has been one of George’s many achievements, alongside his ambitions towards the making of his own bootleg music, allowing him the opportunity to reach new personal goals and give his performances a personal touch. Kosto kicked off the year 2012 on a high note, making it into The DJ List’s Sydney Top 100 list, being featured among the likes of Goodwill, Hook N Sling, Bass Kleph, Tom Piper, Foniko and many more!
Its clear to say that Kosto is here to stay and will begin 2014 with more give.
