DaFunky Situation
Over the past ten years Production and Dj Duo, Dafunky Situation have been perfecting their sound both in the studio and at major clubs around the Greater Toronto Area. Currently broadening their production background the duo signed to Mainstage Records for digital releases after producing Erik Flowchild’s “Over Here” for the soon to be released Mixtape “The Delivery Boy”. The first single “Over Here” was the movement that started the upcoming project which features many prominent artist such as, Chrisette Michele and Joe Budden.

The duo currently has their sights set on taking over the electronic club scene with their uptempo style and revolutionary performance techniques. Making the transition from Deejaying with turntables to Performing live with Ableton and APC40’s wasn’t an easy decision for DFS.

“We grew up using turntables and digging through crates of records at the record store, so there’s a certain culture with playing records that we have and always will love. Having said that, we can now truly pay homage to the artists we love and Dj’s we grew up watching because of the APC40.” - Dj Mike S

“We were forced into a corner, we developed as much as we could while doing our four turntable show. However, concepts took way to long to bring to life. We couldn’t articulate ourselves the way we wanted to, it was just physically impossible. The APC has really revolutionized our live sets and we plan on changing the standard, of what people expect to hear and see when they go out at night.” - Kimo C
