Jonathan Neace has not only been impressing the crowd on the dance floor since 2001, the list of his talents is equally extraordinary. Formerly known as The Filthy Liar and Original Dark, he has opened for some of the biggest headliners in electronic dance music, and has produced over three hundred tracks on his own over the years.
His main style for over ten years was drum and bass, where he opened for such major players as Grooverider, Reid Speed, Phantom 45, Dieselboy, Evol Intent, Danny the Wildchild, Dr. Groo, Snuggles, Technical Itch, 6Blocc, Dara, Ak1200, Freaky Flow and countless others. As his music tastes are diverse he's also shared the bill with headliners like Derek Carter, Roy Davis Jr.,Green Velvet, Angel Alanis, Paul Johnson, Traxx, Colette, Advent, DJ Rush, Terry Mullen, ESP Woody Mcbride, Keoki, Loco Dice, Avex Axiom, Franky Vega, Paul Anthony, Delta 9, James Holden, and Tony Rohr, all the while foraying into other genres such as breaks, dubstep, house, techno, glitch and IDM.
But his range and talents don't end at being able to seamlessly mix a number of electronic music genres, he has vocal training as well as the ability to play the piano & guitar,A relentless producer, his musical sensibility and technical knowlege are both at the pinnacle of acheivement.
Music and the music industry have been a central part of Jonathan's life since he was young, as his father is a musician in the band http://www.evolutionrockband.com/Evolution/Welcome.html. At ten, his father & Brother introduced him to the technical side of sound and sparking the desire to learn about electronics and electronic music.
Jonathan is currently running, "Dark Worlds" on globalvortexradio.com. He also ran the Chicago-based breaks and drum and bass label, Dirty Junglist Squad that had a massive 26-person roster.
Although being Chicago-based for most of his life, he has played cities likeAtlanta, Minneapolis, Wisconson, Indiana, and Hollywood.
