Paco Aguirre “ecco” (born 1988) is an electronic music producer and DJ from Mexico City, known for his work in the tech house and progressive genres. As a DJ, he is recognized for big tech house sets that evolve into house and electro progressive. In 2007 ecco acquired fame under the alias of “Difer” after he started producing the two-hour weekly radio show “M.D. Radio,” alongside Anjunabeats artist Michael Badal, to showcase new tracks. The show aired on Sense.FM and quickly became one of the top shows on the station, drawing thousands of listeners from around the world. During the 3-year journey on “M.D. Radio,” ecco featured world-class guests such as Kyau & Albert, Jes, Daniel Kandi, Benny Benassi, Maor Levi, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and 4 Strings.
As the radio show evolved so did ecco. In 2008 he started playing shows at different venues in his new hometown - Tulsa, Oklahoma. It wasn't long before ecco made his mark on the region’s electronic music scene and in 2010 he started a small project, 'Studio 44,' to showcase the best electronic music talent Tulsa had to offer.
After winning the hearts of electronic music lovers in the Tulsa area with his work at Studio 44, ecco went on to headline gigs in 2011 and 2012 all over the south central United States. ecco also made his mark on the electronic music scene playing alongside artists such as Alex Peace, Beatacue, BT, DJ Bam Bam, Diplo, Doctor P, Mat Zo, M Machine, Porter Robinson, and Starkillers. In 2010, ecco’s radio show was reintroduced as 'The Afterparty' before it began airing on Tulsa’s popular 106.9 FM radio station and then syndicated on Sense.FM to draw even a larger amount of listeners. Like its predecessor, 'The Afterparty' features special guests such as Dirty Harris, Diplo, Gareth Emery, Jes, and Porter Robinson, to name a few.
Whether mesmerizing a frenzied crowd at the biggest after hours club in Dallas or pushing musical boundaries in Oklahoma, ecco’s love of connecting with a crowd ensures that he keeps his status as a true citizen of the electronic music scene amidst a continuous whirlwind of regional touring.
