Lady Gaga, Madonna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, are easily some of the biggest names in pop music. Artists, that all share a common thread, in Producer/DJ DrewG. With his remix partner Brian Cua, DrewG has been wreaking havoc on dance floors around the world by remixing and producing some of these megastars most celebrated and biggest chart-topping hits.

Drew always knew he was destined to spin – born into a musically inclined family, he learned to master an astounding 10 instruments. Drew’s musical ability soon carried him to New York City where he landed his first gig, Friday Nights at Stonewall. Hungry to learn all aspects of the business he loved, Drew took his business savvy and passion for the music industry and began working as a marketing rep for Grammy award-winning DJ/Producer Peter Rauhofer’s Star 69 records. While working at the dance label, Peter quickly took Drew under his wing. “Working with Peter was an experience like no other and one that I will never forget. To learn from one of the best is such a rare and unique gift and for that I’m grateful,” Drew says.

Despite having been mentored by one of the biggest circuit DJ’s in the world, Drew knew that he needed to follow his own path. However, he knew something was changing both inside of him and in the clubs. “I grew up working in sales and marketing environments so I think that has played a huge part in this for me. I know how to market and sell myself to specific crowds and I know what those crowds want to hear from doing my research on them and paying attention to them while spinning,” he explains. That’s when Drew recognized a shift emerging in dance music.

Unconventional and irreverent, Drew boldly proclaimed, “Circuit is Dead” alluding to the brand of music that dominated nightclubs for many years. The naysayers were quick to say that he was wrong, but the attendance numbers at circuit events didn’t lie. Drew was definitely on to something. He created and defined his own dance genre “Dirty Pop” which sparked a loyal legion of fans. Drew’s controversial statement along with his own brand of “Dirty Pop” music stroke a chord with club goers and music aficionados alike. It was no surprise that Drew was soon playing to sold out crowds across the country. His former boss and mentor, Peter Rauhofer, also took notice. “DrewG always reminded me of myself. If he has a goal then there are no boundaries!” The legendary DJ noted.

Staying true to himself has proved to be the biggest key in Drew’s success. He’s been featured on Sirius XM and Perezhilton.com; is the most followed POP DJ on Twitter; was voted “The Best Vegas DJ” and received the “People Choice DJ Award” in Los Angeles. His “Circuit is Dead” and “Dirty Pop” mantras have even spawned a popular t-shirt line with Sold Out Clothing.

More recently, Drew has been spending his studio time producing Mya’s new album, set for release in 2012, as well as working on new remixes for the Fame Monster herself, Lady Gaga in addition to being tapped to remix several tracks on Beyonce’s latest release “4.”
