I consider my self a musician not a DJ, along with 25 years of musical experience (I played the violin for two presidents) I have a masters degree in computer science and minor in music. The one thing that does piss me off is when people say "you dj from a computer how hard can that be" I slide any of my equipment over and say if its so easy put 3 songs at once and transition to another grove. I can can spin Veinal and cd's but love working in traktor 2.5.1 ND SERATO SCRATH . I Know the new rage is spinning out of abelton but i think its cheating. peace n love to all who are out there hustling looking for your break. Most of us will never get the success, gigs, recognition that we want and deserve because while this used to be a talent based business it has become very political and the people that run the parties now bring their friends and if your an outsider forget about the gig you can spin 9 tables at once and it will get you no where but I keep it about the music and take what i can get and have that satisfaction that i didn't sell out and i will always Deejay on my terms.
