DJ Dig-Doug got his start in 1984 making hip-hop and electro mix tapes for his break-dancing crew in Detroit.
In the late 80’s he cut his teeth in the Detroit Techno scene spinning at clubs like "The Shelter" and "The Majestic" as well as the notorious underground and after-hours "House" parties at "The Music Institute" and "The Alley" until he moved to Florida in 1992 where Dig-Doug honed his chops in the Florida "funky breaks" scene of the 90’s spinning old-school, breaks and eventually Drum-N-Bass.
In 1997 he opened up for the Chemical Brothers along with DJ Icey on the Florida leg of their "Dig Your Own Hole" North American Tour.
In 1998 DJ Dig-Doug made a name for himself with the seminal "American" Drum-N-Bass release "Fusion Reactor," which climbed the "Hot" lists and DJ Charts around the World. The notoriety carried him to gigs in places like Ibiza and Abu Dhabi...
In the year 2000, DJ Dig-Doug moved to Boston and retreated into his home studio to perfect his unique brand of mixing and production.
Dig-Doug "officially" hung-up his headphones around 2005 and dedicated himself to becoming a firefighter/paramedic, husband and father.
In 2012 he has re-emerged as the most versatile and creative DJ in the World. He refuses to limit himself to one style or genre (but is NOT an “open format” DJ). Never afraid of experimentation he is laying down popular sets of House and Dubstep as well as the Breaks and Drum-N-Bass he is known for.
