Diego Ruiz DJ & Producer.

Diego Ruiz started deejaying in 2002 at 18 years old and what started out as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for house music. Driven by that passion, Diego enrolled at SAE NYC Institute and graduated in 2005 with a degree in audio technology.

After graduating from SAE, Diego landed an internship with one of the most noted recording studios in the industry, Electric Lady Studios in New York and after a short internship he was hired to work with them as an assistant engineer. During the course of his employment with Electric Lady Studios he had the opportunity to work with worldwide recognized engineers such as Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, etc) and Rich Costey (Muse, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down, Interpol, etc) amongst many others.

Taking the experience he acquired from working at a big studio, Diego started to work on his own original productions. Shortly after he began producing original tracks, his work started to get signed by labels such as Perikles Records and Deafinition Music Group.

Diego teamed up with award-winning, Brazilian, DJ/Producer Marcos Carnaval and very quickly they came up with their first hot single "Waves of Silence" featuring Spanish singer/songwriter Francisco Javier. Said single was signed and released by America's # 1 electronic music label, Nervous Records, which is home of big names such as Oscar G, Boris and Chus & Ceballos, to name a few. "Waves of Silence" was also featured on Roger Sanchez's "Release Yourself" podcast as well as in many other radio shows around the globe.

Fueled by the success of their first collaboration, Diego and Marcos continued to work together and produced their next single, "Menina Baiana," which was featured on Pete Tong's radio show on BBC Radio 1.

Today, Diego's tracks and remixes are featured in various labels and he remixes for top artists. His tracks are being supported by major deejays and producers such as Fedde Le Grand, Roger Sanchez, Oscar G and others.

Playing in some of USA's biggest and trendiest venues (such as Main Room at Pacha NYC, Green House, XL Lounge, etc.) Diego keeps bringing top tracks and DJ sets to his fans.

What started out as a hobby has now turned into a fast-growing career. If you ask Diego what he sees in his future he will confidently answer, "Anything and everything. I believe in my music and I believe that it speaks for itself."
