About Danny Intro:-

Drum and Bass Fan // Raver // DJ // Promoter from Cheshire UK.

Danny has been interested in music from an early age, watching "Top of the Pops" every Friday night and buying the latest chart releases on cassette tape. The first single he ever bought being The Offspring - 'Why Dont You Get A Job' and the first album being Vegaboys - 'The Party Album'
Spending hours regularly creating his own mixed cassettes to listen to a walkman or Sony cassette player...

At 15 he was introduced to Drum & Bass after a friend acquired a cassette tape of DJ Hype with MC GQ.
After watching the The Prodigy live at Manchester's M.E.N Arena in November 2005, Danny knew me wanted to start performing..

Named himself 'Intro' due to a huge love for them saying "an Intro can make an album, track or even a set"
First buying a pair of 'Home-Mix' CDJs , Danny soon realised he had a passion for mixing and in April 2007 bought his first pair of vinyl decks.

In March 2008 he bought Technics 1210's and soon built-up a large vinyl collection buying a various amounts of bulk Drum & Bass.

After practising with friends for hours every day in May 2009 he played his first gig at Opus, Printworks, Manchester with 'Oh My God!' a Manchester based Drum n Bass / Jungle / Dubstep event.
So then in August 2009 Intro joined Oh My God! as a promoter for the event, handing out flyers, putting up posters all around the North-West aswell as DJing regularly at the event.

Describing his style mixing style he said "I'm not the tightest mixer out there, but think I play a good selection of tracks, lets say.. dance-floor with darkness"

2010 see's his Darkest Mix to date 'Get Some' with tunes from Calyx, Friction, Kyriptic Minds & Leon Switch and many more.
Over the summer Danny starts work on production with friend Danny Coe and releases two more mixes 'Make Love, Not War' and 'Retrotip' which can be found on Mixcloud:- http://www.mixcloud.com/DJDannyIntro/

In August 2010 Danny started his own event 'RippeR' in his home town of Altrincham at 'The Flamin' Galah aka. Bondi after a successful birthday party. Getting a good reception from the local crowd the venue asked RippeR to return with the first two nights being ones to remember with local DJs and producers Meecha, Wobbie & Darka as head-liners.
Broadening his mixing techniques now occasional mixing Dub-step, Breaks and Grime, Intro progresses his sound now using 3 decks (2 vinyl decks and a CDJ).
Then Thursday 2nd of September 2010 Danny starts a radio show with on North West Drum and Bass Forum ( NWDNB.co.uk, now NWDNB.net )
Ending the year on a high Danny Intro plays NYE 2010 - 2011 at Manchester's MMU event getting to play a small set after Danny Byrd's Midnight set.

2011 saw a great start for RippeR as the first two events had headliner's Gloxxy in January and Manchester legend DJ Silver with Longman MC in February. Each night was then progressing introducing new unknown acts to the stage and pushing local artists.
Relaunching in March 2011 Danny starts RippeR Radio Every Thursday night 8 till Late with various performers from around the North West each week.
Coming around quickly RippeR has its first birthday in August 2011 as its 15th event. Celebrating with 15 acts spread over 7 hours it was absoulty bonkers resulting in Danny Intro even crowd surfing at the very end !
August also saw Danny playing his first ever festival in Bangor, Wales at an event called 'The Dirty Weekender'
So September 2011 see's the RippeR brand grow with the crowd still very much behind it as we launch the Youtube Channel, Podcasts and Mixcloud with sets from past RippeR events.
With the Altrincham venue having to close down in October - November 2011 RippeR takes its first steps into Manchester with headliner Hamilton from the famous Ram Records.
Saturday 12th November 2011 see's his first gig outside Manchester playing for Don't Panic in Wigan with Meecha and Daddy Krunk and what a night !
For the 3rd year running Danny Intro plays a New Years Eve event, this time with Just Skank at Alter Ego Manchester.

Its 2012 and RippeR takes off well in Manchester featuring some huge acts including Calyx & Teebee with Codebreaker MC, Twisted Individual and Compa although only lasting at Moho Live till March.
Continuing with his head held high Danny gets regular slots with local nights such as Just Skank, Relapse and Don't Panic.
Other the summer time Intro helps push growing brand Just Skank and keeping busy playing 5 gigs over 6 weeks including going to Crewe and conquering his dream of playing main stage at Sankeys in Manchester, but also playing back to back with DJ don Rich Reason and a Hit & Run event in June.
The end of 2012 see's Danny taking a small break but bringing RippeR back home to Altrincham for a Christmas special.

Now 2013 and Danny Intro continues to plod on and seeing where the road leads him...
