About

It has taken two turntables, a mixer, a musical upbringing and endless creativity to make what DJ C-Bu is today. Almost instantly earning himself weekly residencies at some of Sydney’s most popular events, he quickly established himself as one of Australia’s most in demand and recognised R&B and Hip Hop DJs. In less than six years, he has done more than alot of DJs have in their whole careers. The reasons are obvious when you get to catch him live.

Turning from bedroom banger to professtional DJ after only two months, his potential was evident immediately when one of Australia’s most recognised DJs and club promoters attempted to put him under contract. Seeing he was better off making his own mark on the industry with the demand he was commanding, he stepped out of that shadow and C-Bu eventually become a hot commodity amongst all the Sydney promoters in his first year. He earned countless residencies and a strong fanbase followed that continues to grow today.

C-Bu has always believed in staying on top of his game, from his track selection to making the next big move, he is always looking at staying one step ahead of the rest. He was one of the first few urban DJs in Sydney to start playing the hip hop and electro mash up style before it popularised the club scene. His eclectic taste in music is still seen today as he now spins electro, Baltimore, Moombahton, dubstep and more, looking to become a more open-format DJ. Looking to move in new directions, C-Bu become one of the pioneers of the VJ scene in Sydney and even received recognition from a network in the Netherlands to produce exclusive video mixes. All of his accomplishments were topped off when he was offered the opportunity of being the official DJ for urban superstar Israel Cruz, a role he has held since early 2007 and began a landslide of festival and special guest sets. The demand continued to grow.

From supporting the likes of Flo-Rida and Akon to playing on festivals, his talent has taken him to new and exciting places. Not being one to be happy to only have a place in the Sydney scene, C-Bu has travelled all over Australia and delivered party rocking sets, earning regular guest spots and followings in Melbourne and Brisbane. C-Bu has even earned international status, rocking 2000 plus party goers at X2 Nightclub in Jakarta in his first overseas gig in 2007. This kicked off his Asian dominance and has seen C-Bu travel internationally annually to play in countries like Singapore, Malaysia and The Philippines, wih many more clubs around the world looking to bring his unique talent to their crowds.

His talent is seen as limitless, and his determination is endless. Hands in the air, screaming crowds and ecstatic reactions go along with a DJ C-Bu set everywhere he goes. If you haven’t heard of C-Bu yet, you will very, very soon.
