Cat secured her first New York club residencies at nightlife impresario Amy Sacco’s Bungalow 8 and Lot 61. This alongside Vogue Magazine events, Marc Jacobs parties, Susanne Bartsch downtown soirees and Rebecca Taylor fashion shows,put Cat at the forefront of the New York City night life and social scene. Cat has been featured on NBC TV’s Saturday Night Live, was named one of NYC’s 15 Hottest DJ’s by Biz Bash Magazine and was featured in Playboy Magazine as a “Becoming Attraction” DJ to watch out for in the April “Rock the Rabbit Music Issue”.
Cat’s residencies have included NYC’s top electronic dance clubs, Green House, Crobar, Cielo and Mr. Black. She has also toured nationally several time on tours such as the Vans Warped Tour and The Revlon Fabulash Tour.
Internationally she has spun alongside artists such as Steve Aoki, Afro Jack and Felix Da Housecat. Her overseas shows have include Tokyo (Le Baron / Wearhouse), Mexico City (Salon 21), Barcelona (Razzmatazz), Madrid (Low Club), Copenhagen (Fashion Week), Amsterdam (Katapult Klub), Caracas, Venezuela (SONY TV) and Australia with OneLove supported by Alexander Technique of DJs Are Not Rockstars. Cat has her traveling party called; “DJ Cat’s Pussy Party”, which features her favorite DJs, bands and performers. This event is an annual party at WMC (South Beach, Miami), where special guests have included Steve Aoki, Felix da Housecat, Peter Hook of New Order, Junior Sanchez, DJ Sammy Jo of the Scissor Sisters and Shiny Toy Guns.
DJ Cat not only spins worldwide but she is also an accomplished lyricist, singer, remixer and producer. In 2008 DJ Cat’s first single, The Sound, was featured on Sony BMG’s “OneLove”; Smash Your Stereo compilation mixed by Junior Sanchez. The disc achieved gold status and Cat was signed to a publishingdeal with BMG Chrysalis. Next she released her first EP with Automatic Panic.
Cat has collaborated with such artist such as Felix Da House Cat where he featured several of her tracks in his BBC Radio One
Mix. She worked on her 2nd EP with legendary producer Arthur Baker and John Robie, famed producers of Afrika Bambaataa and Planet Rock. Her 2nd EP is to be released at the beginning of 2013. In addition to writing original tracks, she has remixed countless artist star such as pop star, Jason Derulo and rock bands Dragonette and The Sounds.
In 2009 Cat moved to Los Angeles to focus on production and to launch her record label, LOVE FAME RECORDS. Simultaneously Luke Nero of Mr. Black brought the legendary New York house party to Los Angeles where Cat became a resident special guest DJ. Cat was also the resident Friday night DJ at Skybar inside the Mondrian Hotel from 2010 to 2012 and is a weekly resident DJ at the legendary Chateau Marmont. However Cat’s main focus since moving to the city of angles, has been producing music and
launching her record label LOVE F.A.M.E RECORDS.
