Diego Soares began his life kickin the right door. Being born in early eighties was a wonderful stroke of luck for someone who would end up involved in electronic music. The electropop from bands like Information Society and New Order and the hits of Michael Jackson were essentials to shape the – so far – kid’s musical taste. With only 10 years old bought his first vinyl, the album "Pump Up the Jam" by Technotronic.

At the time, Diego was experiencing with some vinyl records on old school improvised turntables. The natural path: at 16 he knew that was born to DJ. With friends, Diego started to produce small parties on his hometown, Brasília, Brazil. After seven years - in which he learned how to control the gears and the dancefloor – he took his first steps into local electronic music scene playing house music.

The rest that was still missing, Diego figured it out on his own: chose the alias Brooks, get better in his mixes and began researching and buying music. Not to fail his own life story, Diego decided to host his first party dedicated to house and techno scenes in his hometown city. The first presentation c came under his own project (Glicos.e) and the feeling flew naturally. The charisma, the technique and the good selection are already trademarks, recognized everywhere at Brasília.

A self-declared addict to sub bass and dancing sounds, Brooks has already achieved a solid career in the underground scene. His resume brings significant events such as multiple editions of 5uinto (the only weekly party dedicated to techno in the city) and festen. where he is the founder and resident since the first edition with the project stÖkk - a duo alongside his friend Neural. Success achieved was such that it earned him invitations to fly out to other cities such as São Paulo, Goiânia and Palmas. Failure, definitely, has never been an option to this Brazilian prodigy.

In his sets Brooks seeks for strong beats filled with memorable basslines in a stroll between tech house and techno, always with room for more synthetic variations, but without leaving the groove and swing - another trademark. “I do not see myself doing anything else. I like to DJ and want to live for it,” says Brooks. If that depends only of the talent he oozes, the DJ will live very well.
