About
Bageera was born and raised in Perth, Scotland. His first introduction to Electronic music was in early 90's. Listening to John Peel and Pete Tong on the radio. Since then his interest in electronic music has never waved. After aquiring his first set of decks he began to build up his own eclectic style. It was from his eclectic style of house, techno and everything in between that later Bageera will Carve out his own unique style.
After a move to Leeds in early 2001 it was here that he first got into the production side of things. Going to Back 2 basics every week and watching endless top dj's doing 6-12 hour sets. The main people who stood out for Bageera and are really big influences on his music were Andrew Weatherall, Slam, Dj Sneak, Carl Craig. After a few years of debautchery and hedonism in Leeds it was time to move back to Scotland and learn about this new software called "Ableton". It was from using this software that Bageera's passion for all thing house and techno began to take shape.
In the summer of 2010 Bageera had his first few releases out on labels Mokilok(Freek) and Hmsp music(Un Da Voo). It was also during this time that he was asked to play at the wizard festival alongside his hero's Slam. One journalist said "1pm in Aberdeenshire was feeling like 1am in Ibiza". It was from here that Bageera was able to establish his name on the techno/house scene. Since then Bageera has released music on Holland's "Little Cube Recordings" Malysia's"220v Recordings" and America's "HMSP Music"
In 2011 Bageera grew from strength to strength releasing an ep for Irelands 5Tonne Recordings"Energy Snap" which got to no.2 in junodownload techno charts. From here a lot of interest grew in his production style and he released an ep on Switzerland's"Freitag ltd" called hairline fracture rapidly followed up by an ep on Hungarian label "Overground Digital". Bageera also had one of his tracks on a compilation for Bulletdodge Records "Chase me" which gained support from Ritchie Hawtin, Luciano, Nic Fanculli and many more. It was during this workaholic period! that he also released music on top Berlin label "Resopal Schallware", releasing Scotarsh ep and also doing a remix for label owner MRI on his track Dancer/Vaudville. Remix work was coming in alot from all different sideds of the world his remix for Freitag ltd gained support of top dj's like Nick Warren, Dibby Dougherty, Dop and more.
In the future Bageera has forthcoming Ep on top spanish label Espai Music coming out in near future and is working on some techno for Coyu's "Atypical Farm" label. As well as a constant backlog of remixes to get through all in all 2011 look's like it is going to be the year where Bageera is catupulted into the lime light. As Bageera says himself “If only tomorrow was today”
We look forward to the future of this producer/dj. Nobody does it like he does.
