With her fiery personality and style, Tigerlily has fast become Sydney’s most exciting young DJ and one of the hottest commodities in the Australian scene.
In just over a year, Tigerlily has accomplished more than most can hope to achieve in an entire career holding down residencies at Sydney’s hottest events and supporting international and local superstars such as Avicii, Aeroplane, Art vs Science, Madeon, Tristan Garner, Tommy Trash, and many more.
Inspired by her lifelong dedication to music, 2011 was a breakout year for this young star being selected in the top 75 female DJ’s in Australia and New Zealand in EMI’s She Can DJ competition and taking part in Australia’s most respected competition for young DJ talent, Your Shot, taking second place overall.
Tigerlily holds residencies at some of Sydney’s most popular events and nightspots including Marco Polo at The Ivy Pool, Courtyard at The Ivy, The Usual Suspects at Soho as well as frequenting venues such as World Bar, Chinese Laundry, Qbar and Carmens to name just a few. Tigerlily also made her debut on the biggest DJ stage in Australia, Stereosonic Music Festival, playing on the esteemed ‘Outrage’ stage supporting acts such as Mr. Oizo, Crookers and Annie Mac.
On stage, Tigerlily’s love for music transcends into show stealing sets delivering captivating performances bringing together heavy electro beats and big room progression with some popular vocals and a hit or two thrown in the mix.
Tigerlily’s passion not only lies in creating a vibrant atmosphere which entertains the crowd, but also in promoting the visibility and prevalence of women in the male-dominated music industry – an issue which is very close to her heart.
With all this in only a year on the professional circuit, there is no slowing down, 2012 – Year of the Tigerlily.
