About
Phil Smith:
Started as a DJ in 2003 in Brighton, England due to his affiliation with soulful and uplifting house.
Given inspiration by other fellow Brightonians around him such as Prok & Fitch, Thomas Gandey, and Maidstone lads, Mark and Nic Fanciulli, in January 2011 he made a conscious decision to focus upon music production.
Currently working on House and Booty Tech productions and half of the Stereo-Flex duo.
His records are getting supported by the monthly Stereo-Flex podcast http://stereo-flex.podomatic.com/
Still under a year in and the productions are getting slicker. Phil's first release will be 'Shake it up' which will be available from the end of January 2012 on Ulysee Records.
Further releases have had great things said about them, from the likes of Dirtybird's J.Phlip, Ardalan and Munnizbrothers describing his ideas as super tight.
Phil is seeking a residency in London or Brighton in the near future, to compliment his musical style.
