Born and raised in England, Jessica Fenner (Fortune) became hooked on electronic music during the eruption of rave culture in the late 80s and early 90s. Impacted by acts such as Roni Size, Carl Cox, The Prodigy, Jumpin Jack Frost, The Shamen and KLF she left home at 17 to become more involved with a local promotions outfit. In 1993 she had an unexpected opportunity to go to California and America became her home. Two years later she found herself in Milwaukee, where she has lived ever since.

In 1999 she finally started djing herself, developing her style to include house, breaks and techno and the elements she grew up with. Playing almost every venue Milwaukee has had to offer, from Dish to Thai Joes, Three to Mantra Lounge, she has played many Chicago locales and is still found regularly at SmartBar. More recently San Francisco has become her home away from home, where she has had the pleasure of playing great venues such as 222 Hyde, Temple, and the Infamous End Up.

Compelled to ensure a musical outlet is always available, she formed For U Events in 2005, and has been immersed in bringing classic to cutting edge edm artists to Milwaukee ever since.

Racking up many dj and promotions achievements throughout the years, Fortune's main mission will always be to provide the means for others to connect with a greater happiness through the musical experience she shares.
