Metal is by far the most complicated genre for mixing, as a matter of fact it's damn near impossible. It's the one genre I turn to when I'm looking for a real challenge. With odd time signatures, coordinated breakdowns and blast beats (live drummers fluctuate the tiniest bit in tempo which can throw off a DJ's mixing) it's near impossible to find tracks that will blend together. So these tracks I used weren't necessarily the ones I would liked to have (I almost never listen to KSE or PTW anymore), but they were the ones in similar speeds or with elements that would work together.

    TRACKLIST:

    01. Decapitated - "Spheres of Madness"
    02. All Shall Perish - "Awaken the Dreamers"
    03. Slayer - "Angel of Death"
    04. Slayer - "Raining Blood"
    05. Killswitch Engage - "My Last Serenade"
    06. Between the Buried and Me - "The Primer"
    07. Slayer - "Criminally Insane"
    08. Darkest Hour - "Deliver Us"
    09. Between the Buried and Me - "Alaska"
    10. Poison The Well - "Artists' Rendering of Me"
    11. Shai Hulud - "Linoleum (NOFX cover)"

I have been debating on trying something like this. I have a large catalog of music of all types and love metal shows, I was wondering if there was a way to combine the love for hard rock/metal music and Djing, and this gave me motivation to go ahead and try it. Thanks!

shit this fucked up and great selection of song to metalcore to simple heavy metal and the Cover of Linoleum that's really good
But how did you do it I mean how did you put your mix (mp3) on soundcloud cuz your mix should be like "150 MO" or more
cuz i want to put a 1 hours mix of metal but i don't if it's goig to be to big or to long (the time : 1 hours) for soundcloud to accept it

I've tried convincing friends to do a metal mix, and no one will touch it! Glad someone stepped up to the challenge!!!!
