Soulist our demagogue French funky President, is the creator and resident Dj of the Paris night event Called What the Funk, reachiing it's 10 Year B Day in april 2013. Disco, Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, latin and House music as an obsession, his mixes have met numerous artists and well known DJs, such as  Bonobo, J Rocc, Mr Thing, Kutmah, Rich Medina, Dj Mehdi, Gilles Peterson, Cut Chemist,  Quantic, , DJ Numark, Madlib, Pilooski.
 Soulist is also part of Souleance.. . Souleance, is the mixture of Soulist's organic influences and Fulgeance producer 's know how and malice.
 An uncomplex project which sums up several energies, rythms and beats such as Hip Hop (Mañana), Break beat(Le Monde and One Step) or funky 80’s style (Cool FM).Already playlisted on April the 2nd by Gilles Peterson on Radio One extra (BBC), their first EP titled "Le Monde". Souleance Mañana Track selected appears on the Brownswood Bubblers 4 compiled by Gilles Peterson In 2009. Their album La Belle Vie was released in April 2012.Following on from the success of their debut LP 'La Belle Vie' from 2012, the French duo have been busy in the studio producing La Beat Tape. 20 tracks deep, the release is aimed squarely at the DJs, with a succession of guaranteed party-starters. This is rounded out with some typically quirky interludes, jazzy beat excursions and blissed out trip hop.
