A 25 year veteran of the rock and club scene, Smoke has always risen to the top. He juggles beats, as well as blends like butter, on Vinyl, Cd’s, Serato or with live instruments. A universal favorite, Smoke has dj’ed in over 20 U.S. states and abroad, including Canada, England, Germany and Mexico.Smoke has now moved forward onto the silver screen. With a scoring debut in the indie hip hop cult flick, “da Hip Hop witch” from Raging Nation Films, the music video “Identify” by the 90 prophets, “Craig Steven unplugged” by Craig Steven,”Many People” by OnThree, a documentary for Hatebreed (www.hatebreed.com) @ the Ozfest, and 2 upcoming indie short films, Smoke has brought his unique sound into a new market. Under THE UNCONSCIOUS COLLECTIVE (www.u-collective.com), Smoke is now editing, producing music videos, scoring and sound engineering independent projects, like this web based scifi show, “Venus Rises”, (venusrises.tv), with his brother, Peter Calderon, (Dj PETE C., SAE) and Reel Life Pictures’ (www.reellifepictures.biz) director Edgar Barua (MTV) . In 2011, Smoke went on to score, foley and pre/post production sound design for director Dekker Dreyer’s post apocalyptic samurai flick, “the Arcadian”.
