(Preston 1996) I was learning to scratch with an old molded plastic stereo and a 9" record (BatDance by Prince).. needle held down with a lump of blue tack and 2 pence piece.
I was also using the input switch to cut, one tape deck to play the music, and the other to record back then!!!
Not long after i started to learn to mix round my mates on his brothers Pro 150's... Oh The Luxury !!

In 1997 i'm getting in the habit of buying Drum & Bass, Old School, Hip Hop & Acid Techno mainly from Preston's Action Records and Willy Banjo's plus making trips to Manchester's Eastern Blok, Vinyl Exchange and Spin Inn.
I was influenced by: Dj Hype, Dj Food, Coldcut, Chris Liberator, Dave the Drummer, Dj Ribbz, The Prodigy & DMC legend Dj CashMoney's styles during this era and span their wax on my new (3rd hand) trusty old DLP 3's in the bedroom. I studied Dj Hypes Scratching style and tried to perfect it only ever having a line to cut with.. (Not bad for transforming like..)

Fast forward to 2003 & 2010 and im starting to enjoy a good stint playing in clubs around Preston, Lancaster & Blackpool aswell as free parties around the North West for nights like TRAUMA, Look What The Kat Dragged In, Preston Breaks, Self Help, Breakout, Drop, Scyence, Subtract, You've Ruined My Weekend, & Guest Assasins.
I lined up along side Ray Keith, Nicky Blackmarket, Goldie, Markus Intellect, Andy C Mc GQ, Commix,& Pendulum during this period which was incredible.

In late 2010 i moved (to Nottingham) and took some time out to settle in, doing the odd Drum & Bass night for Bass Station here and there returning to Preston on the odd occasion to play Freestyle/Jungle sets for BREAKIN EVEN.

Nowadays you can find me playing at Derby's HARDSKOOL night along side DJ's such as Knockout, S-Man and many more.

Nowadays technology wise im using Traktor Scratch Pro with a pair of Vestax PDX2000's & iv just got a Kontrol X1.
My modern influences are mainly :
Dave Clarke, Dj Q'bert, Dj Rafik, Adam Beyer, Exzakt, plus some of the unsigned Dj's doing the rounds(not to forget all the oldschool i grew up on) & also a few of my good Dj friends who shall remain un'named!.... Oh & John Peel ! R.I.P (the reason i carried on collecting and spinning all these years)

Hope you enjoy the sets people!

If your interested in making a booking drop me a message i'm always open to ideas/suggestions .
