Biography:
DJ Monte Carlo (aka "Monte Carlo", "Monte Carlo, DJ", or "MCDJ") has played for a multitude of crowds at public and private events over the years. Best known for his amazingly intuitive on-the-fly crowd reads and knowing that perfect time when the music and the crowd needs to be taken to that next level - he has the ability to incorporate all genre-bending styles of music into his DJ sets. From the laid back styles of Neo-Jazzy-Funk to the hard hitting Electro-House music anthems – a virtual walking rolodex of music knowledge - his sound takes you on a sonic journey through the retronic sounds of yesteryear onto sci-fi future funkiness of music's future classics.

Originally from Richmond, California, Monte Carlo honed his experience as a producer/arranger in the late 80’s creating Bay Area styled rap music with longtime school friends DJ Stepside (who ultimately dubbed him the Monte Carlo moniker), and MC G-Sas - and later with MC L.A.E. (Large Audio Explosion) and MC Pigfeet as a group called Scraps & Skimpaz. Monte Carlo's unique production style comes from a mix of influences, but mainly from the symphonic, protopunk, and jazz based musical styles that he studied in his early teens.

Monte Carlo also releases electronic based material under the aliases Bit.Krusher and Diavola.
