Chicago based dj, drummer, producer, and advocate of all bass driven & booty shakin' music. Mega Mike has been filling dance floors and punishing bass bins with his unique style for ten plus years, and is easily one of Chi-Town's most versatile, skilled and exciting DJs. He started off playing local rave parties, and independently producing EDM events in the late 90s, while simultaneously holding it down on drums for the punk rock band, the Vagiterians (RIP). Fast forward 2002. Mega Mike relocates to Chicago and begins catching the attention of members of the DJ community, and by 2005 joins the True Family Unit collective. In 2006 he becomes an official jungle assasin and member of M.I.A. (DnB). He then co-founded Chicago's chapter of the globally recognized Konkrete Jungle, who were one of the original promoters to introduce a dubstep and drum&bass club night in Chicago (2007-2010). In addition to playing premier events, like North Coast Music Fest 2012, Wavefront Music Fest #1, and an official Lollapalooza afterparty, he's made exclusive appearances on Chicago radio programs including the highly regarded "848" on WBEZ 91.5 FM, as well as "Joystyxx Radio" (Loyola’s WLUW 88.7 FM), and "Part Time Sucker Radio" (Northwestern's WNUR 89.3 FM).
Forthcoming projects for 2013 include releases on Combat Digital recordings, remixes/edits, new club residencies in Chicago, and various shows nationwide!
