DJ Kobayashi musical styles varies from Gypsy / Balkan Beats / Swing / Elecrto Swing, Oldies , to Chill-Out / Future Dub / Dubstep and Broken Beats.
His influences as a DJ started from a very young age following his dad (Reuven Erez). He then knew what he was meant to do and started forming his collection and style.
Today he regularly plays all over London and is a resident DJ at Café 1001 playing broken beats and Dubstep. Other residencies including DJing at Dimba Presents - a monthly event of folk, Gypsy and Balkan music in London and he plays regulary at Stranger than Paradise and Balkan Beats London – a Gypsy/Balkan/Swing night that take place in differnts clubs around London and recently supported the legendary Balkan Beat Box in Rome and Boom Pam in London.

His main project is Gypsy Hill - the latest project to come from London DJs / producers: DJ Kobayashi and Herbert Newbert.
In Gypsy Hill they bring together the balls and the brass from the Balkans, surf-rock Mediterranean guitar lines, Arabic & Jewish melodies, massive bass-lines and a whole heap of electronics, scratching and beats.

In a busy 2010, Gypsy Hill invited fans to shake their assess up and down the country at some of the UK’s biggest summer festivals such as Glastonbury, Guardian’s Hay Festival, The Big Chill, Reading/Leeds and Bestival.

Over the summer the band also found the time to play a number of riotous shows in Europe – taking in France, Belgium, Germany; as well as starting 2011 off with a bang, with a trip Switzerland that included a show at the legendary KIFF in Aarau.

The start of 2011 sees Gypsy Hill taking on a number of remix projects for big names including Balkan Beat Box, Al Jawala and Boom Pam. Work also begins on an album of original material, penned for 2011.

He is also a member of the Green Seeds, which he founded with Conrado D in 2004. They have played regularly at the Multi Vitamin Records night at the Pool Bar in Shoreditch.
Also worked for the project ‘Soundtrack’ together with his brother Roi Erez creating new sounds for the music, film, and theatre industries.
