About

Kenneth Hudgens III (K3NND0)
A DJ/Producer and sound engineer, K3NND0 hovered around the San Diego and Los Angeles (2009) area playing House, Electro, Trance, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, unusual Mash-ups, Reggae and Hip-hop music. Digital DJ-ing using MIDI-Controller equipment, he travels light using the VMS4 from American Audio, Native Instruments Audio 10, and a laptop running Traktor Scratch Pro 2. For bigger venues you can find him using CDJ's from Numark on timecode. During performances, his playing style includes, scratch abilities, MIDI cue juggling, deck juggling, playing 4 decks, and sample loop layering for remixes on-the-fly.

During 2009, K3NND0 made use of his down time taking apprenticeship with several live sound engineers in the Los Angeles area. Realizing, he could improve his sound during his DJ gigs, K3NND0 continued to learn sound engineering until he was introduced to a recording studio. At Capitol Records, and several private recording studios, K3NND0's knowledge continued to grow as he learned how music is recorded and composed. Producers later took notice of his ear for electronic sounds and beats, this lead to his mentorship and study of the popular genre of EDM music... a producer and artist was born. His first track was a "mash-up" he created and recorded on the fly, Boy 8-Bit vs. Disco Villians, "The Cricket Scores vs. Renegade Masters." Within a week of posting, the track was downloaded over a 1000 times. (Due to a server problem, the track was later posted on K3NND0's Soundcloud.com account.)

In 2010, K3NND0, worked behind the scenes with Raw Music Studio in Lancaster, CA, producing and engineering Hip Hop, R&B, and Club tracks for several artist until the studio's closure early 2011. With the help of a Non-Profit organization, K3NND0 later had it re-opened (and re-designed) under a different name (UCAN Re-Chord) and is the manager and resident sound engineer.

In 2011, K3NND0 released his first EP, "Bad Leg" under Run-A-Muk Recordings (Aka. Sick Calicos label)[Released July 15, 2011]. The grim title was influenced by a gunshot injury to his leg when he was 18 years old. Later, this became a part of his "fuel," to take his DJ career to the next level by producing and creating his own tracks. As Run-A-Muk's first electronic artist under their label, K3NND0 helped expand Run-A-Muk Recordings genre from underground Hip-hop, to popular house, electro and dubstep tracks. He is also currently producing several hip-hop tracks for the members of Sick Calicos. http://k3nnd0.bandcamp.com/album/bad-leg-ep

Currently, he is working on several independant projects and more album releases and continues to DJ and produce. Described as a "Secret Weapon" of the music industry, K3NND0 can still be found as a freelance sound engineer hired under several artist studio's. You can find his productions and podcast on Mixcloud. (http://www.mixcloud.com/DJK3NND0)
