Conquering all realms of music with perfection, Audio Units have time and again struck a chord with those who believe in the sanctity of life and music. A brainchild of brother duo -- Ashwin Baburao a.k.a Inferno and Ashrith Baburao – the artistes’ eclectic influences led them to collaborate with each other about two years ago. Their passion for music and the ability to magically transform any sound to melody has allowed them to explore a broad range of musical styles.

With a career spanning 10 years and having played at some of the most sought out festivals and venues across the country; Inferno has carved a niche for himself in the Indian electronic dance music scene today. On the other hand, his brother Ashrith, a self-taught musician, decided to give school a miss and pursue a serious career in music.

Obsessed with quality, soul and futurism, Audio Units have a unique sound cascading between various styles of house music. Dramatized with rich sounds and organic layers; each of their tracks is a perfect blend of intricacy and experimentation. Weaving creamy melodies with chunky bass lines; the artistes have a remarkable way of striking the perfect balance between outlandish themes and subtle harmonies. While some of their tracks are characterized by edgy bass lines and complex structures; the others are an effortless merge of musical boundaries. Brimming with energy, their sets often take you on an intense journey into the world of funky melodic riffs and thundering beats.

As “A U” the artistes showcase a darker side of their sonic palette that is often driven with twisted bass lines, hypnotic atmospheres, glitchy grooves and intelligent programming. A style that is very underground yet extremely comprehending to the dance-floor.

The ‘dynamic duo’ has an impressive discography of releases on both Indian and International labels such as Qilla Records, Wind Horse Records, 3AM, SpringTube, Bermudos and many more. Over the years, Audio Units have been billed on various EPs / Remixes / Compilations / Labels with industry stalwarts such as Vinayak^a, VIPUL, Hamza, Funkform, James Silk, Kosmas Epsilon, Ruben F, Mr Pedros, D K Watts, Dynamic Illusion and many more while continuing to receive support and radio play for all their releases from top DJs across the world.


In fact, Audio Units have also performed at various festivals including Sunburn, Submerge Supernova and many more apart from regular club appearances and sharing stages with a diverse spectrum of dance music acts. Their distinctive live act is a performance of their own tracks, improvised with effects, loops, sampled vocals adding a fresh vibe while maintaining its familiarity.
