DJ Fano was interested in electronic music since his youth. In the 90ies, he loved to listen to trancy DJ sets in the weekly radio "HR3 Clubnight", especially when DJ Dag or Talla2XLC were spinning.

Concerning music production, he made his first experiences with electronic music production with so called tracker programs like Fasttracker and Octamed on the good old Amiga home computer.

DJ Fano proceeded in electronic music production with workstations like SY85. Synthesizers and sound design enthused him. In 1999, he moved to software synthesizers like Dream Station and later to DAWs like Orion, Fruity Loops and Reason. He made some nice tunes with them, using the power of virtual analog synthesis. He published some of his tunes at free music portals like vitaminic.de.

After a few years of silence, DJ Fano checked out classic workstations like the Raven and groove boxes like MC-303 and the Korg EMX-1. He also checked out new sequencer software, VSTs and DAWs.

In 2007, DJ Fano set up a myspace music page and started digital DJing on blitzradio.fm. He affiliated with trance-is-life.de, where he spins his favourite trance and progressive tunes with his friends in the weekly Trance is Life Radio Show.

Since 2008, I produced several tracks with Ableton Live, which is his favourite production environment at the moment. My focus lies in music production and sound design, where he improves his mastering / mixing skills in order to produce non-ordinary emotional and thrilling electronic tracks in the genres techno, trance and progressive house.
