Apparently my new thing is to remix Quiet Storm classics.Here I take on a sad yet beautiful song by the former lead vocalist of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, who passed away just last year."Love T.K.O." is taken from his 1980 release, T.P., and remains an emotional meditation on the difficulties of long-term relationships. In addition to my usual re-edits aimed at lengthening instrumental passages, I found myself playing with some fairly powerful distortion and filtering of the bassline, discovering an almost heavy metal meets soul sound.
