I actually like Larry Heard's remix of "Deep Down" as it is--a remarkable journey through house music that is both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. Really, what I wanted was a pure re-edit of the song's mid-section, where Heard really cuts loose with the percussion overdubs. So, I took that mid-section and turned it inside out....
