Lightning Glove is a Prague based electronic project. Their music is explicitly eclectic in terms of sources of inspiration which include today's remains of the rave culture, industrial and post-punk. In June 2013 Raving Peacock’s Tail EP was released by UK influental Tesla Tapes label run by psychedelic collective Gnod, with mastering by Steven Bishop (Basic House, Opal Tapes), and launched in Manchester’s Islington Mill on Gesamtkunstwerk series. New album Radical Zoo (Nothing) is out now on Manchester-based label cooperation ONO TESLA! It was properly presented during their recent UK/Europe tour in April/May 2014.
„Their music emanates from the existential and guttural, the harrowing vocals and electronics weave a yearning soundtrack to abandoned rave fields. ... Dub-inflected and airy, Raving Peacocks Tail pursues helium-induced states, echoing from a veil of ersatz nostalgia.“ (electronic beats - easternhaze)
"Four cuts sit menacingly and glower from within. This is chilling stuff and by chilling I mean edgy, disquieting, neglected and abandoned, not I should add for the feint of heart or those expecting an easy ride. This is brutal though not so much in an agit core or spiteful way, more psychosis driven, the tension and intolerance literally drips off it, here there’s a sense of the patiently calculating, the watching, the waiting, the assessing upon which a brief moment will appear to allow for a break of cover." (the sunday experience - strange sounds for freakypeople)
„The whole EP plays like Atari Teenage Riot on an OD-inducing level of opiates; essential for anyone with a penchant for dark-wave, industrial punk, cybernetic goth or electronic noise. And another piece of Manchester's complex musical jigsaw.“ (Piccadily Records)
„'Radical Zoo' is their debut album of rudimentary electronics, spitting machine rhythms and urgent, whiny vocals lashing out under dissociative synth atmospheres across six tracks referencing punkish electro and dubstep alongside in-vogue darkwave.“ (Boomkat)
„LG maintain the menacing vibes with abrasive lyrics and equally abrasive rhythms touching on prophetic subjects such as the dream world and nightmare David Lynchian soundscapes , the disintegration of liberal Europe and brotherly love. This is the sci-fi sound of Europe falling into disrepair, folding in on itself. Radical Zoo (Nothing) doesn't fit into a square box, its a record for fans of rough edges, tough electro rhythms, it's already been getting plays from the likes of Jon K and And Andrew Lyster from Meandyou.“ (Norman Records)
