Such a sad song, but filled with meaning. My favorite Dixie Chicks song.
i love this song i listen to it over and over and it never gets old . Its been on replay for about 3 days lolz! <3
I heard this song like a million times and still touches me. =')
I remembering meeting a girl in the bus station cafe, I sat and talked to her while drinking a ton of coffee,. We wrote back and forth then one day just a few months from coming home the letters stopped. I have often wondered if she knew how much her letters helped me get through Viet Nam. I stll think of her from time to time and when ever I hear this song.
God bless all of our soldiers <3
We need you to "hang in there with us Chicks". We all love you Chick-a-roos. PALM
Thank you to all the women and men that have served our country for my freedom.
Just love these girls. Radio has lost the greatest female vocal groups ever. sad
day that we are unable to hear their great songsby just turning the radio on.
I am still trying to figure out the terrible thing that Natalie said. Hasn't worse
been said without such a high price to pay?
this is a wonderfull song and one of the best ways to thank them Bless you
Always brings a tear to my eye! And, it is unbelievable live - I sat there with tears streaming down my face.
Saw the ladies do this live... it's better that way... Would love to see you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Went to Nam when I was 21. Came back feeling like 40. There is no glory in war. These ladies put my memories into great lyrics, for which they were later vilified. Keep it up, girls.
