SchnAAk and the Rund Choir is the electro-sibling of the German racket duo SchnAAk (Mathias Jähnig / Johannes Döpping). This EP "No Security through Numbers" is their first output.

The compositions are all about minimal movement, fragmented melodies and a different understanding of harmony. The acoustic pattern is composed of analogue synthesizers, prepared guitars, heavy analogue drumming, lofi samples and cheap plugins.

In 2012 Jähnig, who is also responsible for all things visual, had the opportunity to live one year among the !Kung of Northern Namibia & Southern Angola – a very special experience. "No Security through Numbers" adresses the challenge to understand a completely different outlook on life and the process of allowing oneself to get closer to the foreign.

Written and performed by Mathias Jähnig and Johannes Döpping
Recorded with Tino Bensing
Produced and Mixed by Markus Reuter & Adrian Benavides

Released by: Discorporate Records
Release/catalogue number: DISREC24
