very deep, Im impressed cause it really explains the journey. thats the mark of a good producer...taking us (listeners) somewhere other than where we are right now.
-
@jrod411: Thanks - i've been reading a lot about the pwoer of 3 in music and using elements to create harmony and contrast so hopefull this has rubbed off in this piece!
-
@disapia: certainly seems like u got the hang of it mate :) keep 'em coming!

Great track! In my opinion the electric piano in the beginning is far superior to the classical one that enters here. I've always found those a bit dull... However, a very good track!

Are you using the Omnisphere in this track ?Something sound very familiar ;-) It is that gated synth in the back ..Or maybe u used the ES2 ?
-
@The Observer: Ah, good guess. It's the es2 saw (fairly open on the filter) and using the btcrusher and guitar amp and then through the autofilter

Made me thing of Japan. Both the country and the band. Sweet little melody. Very introspective. Well worked.

Just created a new blog! Lots of cool music, design and things of interest: disapia.tumblr.com
Tom has had a love of music from an early age; hording old vinyl and playing them on a fisher price turntable way past his bedtime. This love flourished when he came across a set of 1210s at the tender age of 14 and practiced day and night. He started experimenting with various forms of beats, breaks and house party and played at all the local clubs, raves and house parties.
Tom moved to Manchester and set up the universities DJ society 'Spun' and also a weekly night called 'Master Floppy'. This gained momentum and soon he was playing alongside the likes of Matthew Dear, Ryan Elliot, Nathan Fake and Legowelt. At this point someone had passed Tom a copy of Reason and he jumped at the opportunity to flex his creative muscles in production: producing edits, beats and remixes which he used in his DJing.
Tom set his eyes on London and when Hooj tunes offered him some work experience he lept at the chance. With so much inspiration around him, he funneled this into his music and his production flourished. He currently spends the majority of his time in the studio or running the CollageClub in Soho showcasing not only his own work but also the cream of new talent
I'm also the resident of the 'CollageClub' in Soho London (www.collageclub.blogspot.com)
