Dirty Secretz is one of house music’s worst-kept secrets and with DJ support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Andi Durrant, Fatboy Slim, Prok & Fitch and Fedde Le Grande – it’s easy to see why the Leicester-based DJ is causing a fuss on both sides of the Atlantic.
Beginning life in 2008 as a production duo, Dirty Secretz is now the sole venture of enigmatic producer Richie and flying solo certainly hasn’t hampered the flow of this particular sound. With his productions, remixes and bootlegs being spun by some of dance music’s biggest names, it’s undeniable that Dirty Secretz is a cat that deserves to be regularly let out of the bag.
Carving his unmistakable, signature house grooves into each of his productions, this is a man who is able to cross the boundaries of genres with ease and aplomb, creating waves wherever his tracks are played and leaving dancefloors in chaos.
You’ve probably already heard Dirty Secretz on the likes of Radio 1, Kiss FM and Capital FM, or perhaps his tracks that have been featured on Roger Sanchez’ “Release Yourself”, Subliminal Sessions and Hed Kandi Ibiza?
He’s already remixed the likes of X-Press 2, K Klass, Filthy Rich and Benny Royal, and if you haven’t heard his groove-laden bootleg of The Streets’ “Weak Become Heroes” then add it to the to-do list. On top of a back catalogue of quality productions, Richie has played at Koko (London), Pacha (London), Ambassador (Stockholm), the Rolling Stone party in Athens and has worked his magic with a guest mix for Ministry of Sound Radio.
Roger Sanchez reckons Richie is “turning it out, banging track after banging track” and to be honest, we’d have to agree. One thing is for sure though - in the world of house music, there’s no more hush-hush when it comes to Dirty Secretz.
