Direct, Joseph Lyncheski, is an electronic musician with a diverse style inspired by many sources.

At the age of 12, Joseph who had been using computers all of his life, began making electronic music and publishing it to many different web forums and discussion boards under the aliases "Synth38" and "Animism." Under the alias "Animism," Joe released a bootleg remix of Far East Movement's "Like A G6" which has gained more than 450,000 views on YouTube. Joseph also gained popularity under the alias "DIrect," his current alias. A bootleg remix of Avicii's "Levels" gained over 200,000 views on youtube. In June of 2012 he signed his first original on a label, Free My World was released on Monstercat. He has been releasing on Monstercat since then.
