Kirk Wilson began his love for music at a young age, listening to his mum's dance sounds playing. His real passion though, lied in DJing. DJ Digz found his music influences in artists such as Tiesto and Tocadisco, however more recently follows the sounds from artists like Deadmau5 and Laidback Luke. Digz prides himself on being all about Electro House.
DJ Digz began mixing at home, entertaining small crowds and doing house parties in 2005. At the time, his weapons of choice were an American Audio CDI-500s and a Denon DNX-1500 mixer. He was then given a chance to show his skills at Odessey Nightclub in Bunbury, where he immediately became resident for a period of two years. During his time at Odessey, Digz played along side many names such as Nick Skitz, Noubel Electro, Endorphin, Groover, Hoppy, Emergency Response, Nine Lives the Cat (UK) and a heap more. After a short break from the club scene, he was approached to become resident at Exit Late Night Bar. A place known to many of the Decibels crew. Digz remained resident at Exit for three years, where he mixed with local DJs Chekrah, De Judge, EmBad and Nate D.
Digz' drive for becoming and staying a DJ is the able to create an atomsphere for crowds to forget their day to day lives and live for the moment. Knowing that you have made that person live for the moment and forget about the world is truly what the love of beats is all about!
