Digital Dubstar aka Digital D may not be a  name some of you are currently familiar with on the UK Funky scene, but he can be considered a veteran on the dance music scene as Digital is one of the UK's most pioneering producer's, producing a several underground and commercial hits spanning from 1992 to the present day.  Born and bred in North London, Tottenham, Digital Dubstar's musical taste was heavily inspired by music his mother would play around the house (particularly whilst cleaning on a sunday morning). Music from artists such as John Holt, Bob Marley,  Tina Turner and the late Michael Jackson were just a few of the many crates of music, that he heard and would later use as samples for his music.
Digital Dubstar  went to Northumberland Park School where his favorite classes were Computer, Design Technology (CDT)  and Music. Having, learnt to play the keyboard and the drums, Digital begun his passion with electronic music, this went on to sampling sounds which was a feature of the keyboard. After making quick music with the Casio, he went on to play music using the Amiga 500 using the four track music sequencer - Protracker.
Having four tracks was great, for running the beats, bass, stabs/piano and vocal samples...

Having, been inspired by artists such as HOMEBOY, HIPPIE & FUNKI DREDD, Rebel Mc, Noise Factory, Digital teamed up with his school mate and produced groundbreaking tracks under the artist name Order 2 Move whilst on the Boogie Beat Record label and Fusion whilst on the Kemet/3rd Party Record labels and produced some hardcore/jungle classics such as Rizla Bass and Love for the World which fused some rolling baselines, Ragga vocals  and well constructed breaks along with lovely synths.

Digital took some time out to concentrate on his family and has now returned to produce his Digital label Skip To My Loops (S2ML RECORDS). His first track to waiting to be released features the lovely vocals of Miss Fire - the track which is called Can't Say No has been played by DJ Footloose on the 1XTRA House show and is looking like a classic already.
