Vanessa Holliday has been making her mark from behind the decks for over 6 years with her ardent passion for music & infectious personality, resulting in almost overnight success within a fickle but competitive industry. Initially rising to popularity playing an uplifting progressive and trance based sound, she has broadened her horizons and started mixing funky beats and now consistently serves up her signature progressive sound all over the country. Blessed with pure, effervescent female energy oozing from her every pore, Vanessa Holliday is a natural entertainer in possession of a rare ability for rocking every dance floor resoundingly RIGHT! www.vanessaholliday.com
Margaret Westergreen, known by most by her dj name Lady M, has been mixing tunes for a number of years now. With its warm and hypnotic sound she started off on vinyl in the genre of deep house, hosting residencies at various restaurant bars and making her mark on the deephouse dancefloors in Cape Town. She is now following her passion to the max and has converted to spinning on CDs, taking on a unique and intelligent deep tech sound. www.margaretdj.com
Based in Cape Town South Africa, the Digital Divas are currently in studio producing their own tracks and compiling a mixed CD featuring only local artists to be released later this year in conjunction with a national tour. The compilation will be available on CD and for download. The ladies have been travelling the country playing alongside South Africa's finest DJs and built up a following so large in such a short space of time that the demand for them has hit national and festival level, with having performed at H20 and MCQP in 2009, travelling nationally for the MILLER TOUR in APRIL 2010 and hitting Kenya for Earthdance this September. The FUTURISM PHOTOSHOOT took place recently and these ladies have taken on a whole new mindblowing image! Mix it with some darker underground dance music style and you get cutting edge, modern futurism with an uber sexy feel. Photographer: Frank Ellis.
