@Something Happened: agreed. @DITRYROCK: It doesn't take that much time to open this mix up. I listened to Somethingwicked's remix and it sounds a lot more open, the mix has room to breath... and he didn't much time on it at all.

there is no punch. it just sounds like a block of sound. i can tell it's heavily limited... when the bass hits, everything else gets quieter. i would suggest putting your drum sounds at a higher peak volume than the bass, then go back and compress the 2 bus after you do that. or you can just get a mastering job done. which i'll be happy to do.
