About

Diego Quintero, born in 1992 in Santiago de Cali (Colombia), is an Electronic Music DJ and composer.

He started to make music at 15 years old.

He was influenced by artists such as: Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto, UMEK, Jay Lumen, MiniCoolBoyz, Dubfire, Gary Beck, among others.

In 2009, he released his first EP for the DJ Wady’s label "Bedroom Muzik", based in Miami (USA).

In 2010, he moved to Metz (France) for professional reasons.

In the beginnings, he made Minimal Techno music and he got more than 20 placements in the Beatport Minimal Top 100, between 2010 and 2011.

In 2011, he returned to Colombia. With more knowledge about European Electronic Music, he decided to change his music style to Techno and Tech House.

He recently released his music on labels such as 1605 - Music Therapy (Owned by UMEK) Definitive Recordings (Property of Olivier Giacomotto and John Acquaviva), Night Light Records (Mladem Tomic and Sinisa Tamamovic’s label), Craft Music (Owned by Tomcraft), Frequenza Records (Nihil Young’s label), among others.

In 2012, he founded the label Techno Hub Records.

By October of that year, he went to France again, but this time, he moved to Toulouse.

Currently, he collaborates with artists from all the corners of the world, such as: Greg Slaiher (Blufin, Natura Viva), Miguel Bastida (Mistakes Music, Bedrock Records), DJ Fronter (Toolroom Records, Great Stuff Recordings), Konstantin Yoodza (Agile Recordings Formatik), Michele Pinna (Resopal Schallware, Saved Records), Andres Gil (Night Light Records, Great Stuff Recordings), Juan Ddd (Kling Klong, 1605), Gaga (Sci+Tec, Toolroom Records), Dani Sbert (Sui Generiz, Night Light Records), and many more.

His tracks have been played by: Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez, Popof, DJ Sneak, Slam, Dubfire, UMEK, John Acquaviva, Olivier Giacomotto, Paco Maroto, Mr. Bizz, Spartaque, Marco Lys, etc.

He’s now taking bookings for his 2013 European Tour, which currently includes: Toulouse, Albi, Bordeaux, Perpignan, Barcelona, and more.
