Elegance Update April 16, 2013

DHS recordings is NOT accepting any new artist at this time. We are also NOT interested in any EDM of any kind. Our goal is to concentrate and focus on the artists who are progressive, cutting edge, and producing the next wave of underground dance for this decade. Our goal is to find that talent, composers or DJ's, that will take the underground dance culture to it's next level. We are fully licensed by ASCAP, BMI, and ISRC.

Tony DiAngelo's Bio:

We all know how DJ's can be the biggest "bullshitters" on planet Earth, It's not about talent, it's all about gimmicks. Well Tony DiAngelo is not one of those DJ's. As a matter of fact, Tony doesn't even like to tell people he's a DJ anymore, because he doesn't want to be related to the three ring circus the DJ industry has become. We are not going to write how he's the most recognizable DJ in Denver, or he's some kind of international talent, world renown in the top ranks of world class DJ's blah blah blah bull shit bull shit bull shit. What we know of Tony DiAngelo is that he is one of the most humble DJ's on planet Earth, with a huge heart to help people in the industry. He has his studio to make music and his weekly internet Radio Show on wda1.com and takes bookings on occasion. That pretty much sums it up. We are not going to try and nail down all the accomplishments of Tony DiAngelo as a DJ over the past 34 years. He has been a DJ since 1978, mostly in Denver Colorado. He thoroughly enjoys being a DJ and an "On Air" personality on his show. He is often called "old man" and is referred to as the Grandfather of the underground scene in Colorado, Tony has paved more roads, trained more DJ’s, given more DJ's their first residency, booked more unknown talent, and helped more producers than anybody can claim. He has also been taken advantage of, shit on, screwed over, and has taken more abuse than anybody can claim yet he still has the heart to continue to help people. Tony is a true underground DJ who practices a free-form style of music programming in his sets that encompass all genres of the underground, which tells the full underground musical story in his sets and not just part of the story. His passion and love for the true underground family is strong. His fight to preserve and restore the true underground is tiresome and endless. His message of restoration and reunification is loud and clear. Tony has always stayed true to his underground roots and has never sold out to the mainstream or took a job in a mainstream club to "pay the bills" He remains a trend setting DJ playing new and progressive music that no on else is playing keeping his crowds on the edge with his diversity in music. His latest and grandest accomplishment can be described with one word…..ELEGANCE.

Elegance is a variety radio show webcast heard every Sunday night on wda1.com and iTunes at 10PM Mountain Standard Time live from the New Underground Studios in Denver Colorado. The show features plenty of Comedy from host and DJ Tony DiAngelo and co- host Justin Davis, however the most important feature of the show is the MUSIC. Elegance features the best in Underground Dance Music. Specialty sections such as MY SPACE FRIENDS is a section that was started back in 2008 where Tony would feature and give special attention to artist who would send tracks to him on My Space. Although tracks are now submitted anywhere from My Space, Sound Cloud (Sound Cloud Drop Box is on this page), to our Promo Pool email, we still call it My Space Friends. Also, we have a special section called THE 2nd NEW WAVE, which is a special section that highlights music that is ground breaking , fresh, new and breaking out of the definitions or Electronic Dance Music. NEW this decade is also a section called "YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST". This special segment of the show is as random as the show itself. It features music that was discovered that may not be recorded or produced all that well, but shows signs of immense musical talent. AND of course Tony's usual meticulous sets of music to end the broadcast and continue late into the night for the live audience. Interviews, live performances, and the return of guest DJ's will all be incorporated back into the Elegance format this decade.
